About Vinitrek

A Few of Our Favorite Things: Fine Wine, Great Food, and Fantastic Locations Around the World
We enjoy wine, and find that the places where wine is produced are some of the most beautiful places on Earth, so here at Vinitrek we focus on finding those places–the best known, and the ones off the beaten track–and sharing some of the wine, the food, and the atmosphere in case you might want to take a trek of your own.
Vinitrek is the work of wine lovers, but hardly wine experts; what we offer is our own experience, and the wisdom and insight of winemakers, restauranteurs and travelers who share our desire to see the world and drink its wine.
About Your Hosts, Tiffanie Wong and Mark Joyella:
At Vinitrek, Tiffanie’s the brains behind the operation. It was Tiffanie’s brilliantly methodical planning of repeated trips to Napa in advance of her wedding that led to the idea of offering travelers a better resource for wine travel. When she’s not scouring the world for the next place to visit and reading up on the next funky tasting room, she works at CNN in New York City, where she’s a technical director on the network’s prime newscasts, including Anderson Cooper: 360, Campbell Brown: No Bias, No Bull, and the HLN programs Nancy Grace, Showbiz Tonight, and Jane Velez Mitchell. Tiffanie’s a native New Yorker.
Mark brings a creative edge to Vinitrek, combining his love for wine, food and wine country with his passion for writing, video and still photography, and documentary storytelling. A 5 time Emmy-winning news reporter and anchor who’s worked in markets like Miami and New York City, Mark currently writes a blog on the profound changes affecting the local news business, produces video reports for a hyperlocal news site in Brooklyn, and appears weekly on a New York show, Toni On! New York, devoted to entertainment, food, history, and often, the offbeat (Mark recently learned to walk to catwalk with male models and swallowed fire in a Coney Island freak show). Mark also produces and directs documentary films.
Tiffanie and Mark live in Brooklyn with their three dogs and a cat, keep a respectable collection of wines on hand for any Manhattanites brave enough to venture across the river, and run marathons.

You were not wrong about your wife getting more hits! I would have thought this a great opportunity for wineyards to get a bit of international publicity.
So I thought I’d publicize our local winery at Mystery Creek. It sounds like something out of an Enid Blyton novel, but they produce award winning wines.

Michael,
Thanks for visiting my boutique blog operating quietly alongside the My Husband is Annoying goliath! Since Mystery Creek’s the first NZ winery to get a mention since we were on “Breakfast,” I think they deserve special note. I’ll head to the website and send an email!
Thanks for visiting Vinitrek!
